Hi, I'm Marc. This tumblr is about Japanese photography and all things related. I also have a blog, eyecurious, for more elaborate photographic musings, exhibition and book reviews, etc. You can find out more about my projects here.
There has been a lot of excitement in the blogosphere about Canon’s 5D Mark II video capacity. I am not a big fan of these online frothings about technology, but I was curious to see how this technology might start working in photographers’ hands. This is the first time I have seen it used by a photo-journalist, Danfung Dennis, who thankfully seems equally as concerned by the subject as how much bokeh he can get. The footage (of the US military counter-insurgency in Afghanistan) is fantastic even though I’m not allowed to embed it here because I don’t have a superhyperproextraplus Vimeo account. So here is a link to it.
